Now I'm 20 Can I Still Love Disney??

I think the answer is YES!!!! I turned 20 yesterday and although I was totally ready for not being a teenager anymore i'm not quite as ready to give up my obsession!!!! And to prove this the 2 main outfits for my birthday weekend were inspired by Disney!

On my actually birthday I spent the day at college but went out at night with the girls for dinner and a few drinks. We went to a little Italian restaurant thats round the corner from my house and it was delicious!!! I'm sorry the photo's aren't too great I didn't want to take my big camera out with me so they were taken on my phone.

I forgot to take a photo of my main course but heres what I had for starter…

Chicken Liver pate with apple and raisins and salad, it was delicious!
For main I had a Pepperoni Pizza and for drink I had a Strawberry Dauquiri!

After dinner we went back to mine for dessert of birthday cake!! My Mum makes a cake every year and she definitely didn't disappoint!!! I'm actually eating a bit right now, Its gorgeous.

My outfit for the night was inspired by mermaids and Disney princesses. I fell head over heels for each piece as I bought it and I adored the end result!

Top: Primark
Skirt with belt: River Island
(I'd like to think Ariel would wear this ;) )
Shoes: New Look
Bag: River Island
Necklaces & Earrings: They're my Mum's

Slightly closer picture of my makeup, I used:
Revlon Colorstay Foundation
MUA's Pro-Base Conceal and Brighten Kit
Betrayel, Madness and Damaged from the Vice 2 palette on my lower lid
Shellshock from the Vice 2 palette for the inner corner of my eye (top and bottom)
Lush's Motivation eyeliner on upper lid
Forever 21 eyelashes
Sleek Chantilly blush from the Blush 3 palette

Today my family and I went up to Xscape in Glasgow to have a round of crazy golf and dinner at T.G.I.Fridays, it doesn't sound very exciting but it was the perfect way to celebrate with my Mum, Dad and sister!

I wore another Disney inspired outfit, this one a little bit more obvious!

Top, Jeans and Shoes are all from asos
How cute are the sleeves on this jumper?!
I love that clutch so much and I thought it worked quite well!
Apologies for my sour looking face!

Face:
Revlon Colorstay Foundation
MUA's Pro-Base Conceal and Brighten Kit
Lush's Motivation eyeliner along lash line top and bottom
MAC's Extension 3D mascara
Sleek Crochet blush from the Blush 3 palette
I'm loving my new found ability to do fishtails!!! Still a bit messy but with practice i'll hopefully be a pro!

We went to T.G.I.Fridays for dinner, I love the food at TGI's but for me the main attraction is the amazing cocktails! I forgot to photograph my food (I had the classic cheese burger with BBQ and Jack Daniels sauce Omnomnom!!). My cocktail was a different story!! They have a new section of cocktails that are all inspired by sweets! I ordered a Bubblegum Dauquiri! It was amazing!! It's a normal rum daiquiri but had the twist of whatever made it taste like bubblegum! It also had popping candy around the rim of the glass! It's officially my new favourite drink!

Here's a few close up pictures of my shoes and bag!

These are officially the lowest heels i've EVER bought!! But I love them! Definitely Disney Princess material!

Saw these in the sale on asos and just fell in love with them! The ankle cowboy boot is definitely a favourite of mine and the studs just finish them off perfectly!

A friend actually saw this after I had found the skirt I wore out on Friday and I thought it would finish the mermaid theme of perfectly!

I also went and got my nails done on Thursday and guess what?! They're mermaid inspired!!!!!!!! (Noticing a theme yet?? I'm just a little bit obsessed!) Thank You Natasha at The Lash Room

I had a great weekend and couldn't really ask to spend it with more wonderful people!!

Hopefully you're all having a fabulous weekend! Anyone else wearing a Disney inspired outfit?! Or is anyone else celebrating a birthday?!!

Happy Saturday!!

My Names Adrienne and I'm a Shoppaholic….

Yes, I said that I wouldn't be posting on here until after the re-launch but I really couldn't resist a quick little post on the make-up things I bought yesterday!!
And yes, I'm pretty sure i'm verging on needing to join some sort of shoppaholics anonymous meeting (and maybe one specifically for the over use of Lush?)

Oh well it's my blog and i'll do what I want too! (I'm now singing that song in my head! Which reminds me! I'm 20 on friday!! What??!!)

So here's what I bought!

Snow Fairy Gift Box, Dragons Egg Bath Ballistic, Blousey Shampoo

First was Lush, Obviously!!! I actually haven't been in since the start of December so I sort of felt like I was returning home having been away for a few weeks! It was quite sad to go in and not see any of the girls I had become friendly with while they worked there over Christmas but Vicki the manageress was in and helped me find a face wash to try! Above I have my staple shampoo which despite the strong smell while it's in the tub I absolutely adore in my hair and it has really helped keep my colour long lasting and stop it from getting so greasy so quickly! The gift box is just all things Snow Fairy including the shower gel a soap and a shimmer bar. Dragons egg is one bath bomb i've had my eye on for a while!! It smells like sherbet and has popping candy in it so keep an eye on my instagram (just search beautyasthekatwalks and it'll come up!) to see my thoughts when I use it!
Below is a small tester of the Angels on Bare skin face, i'm really excited to see if this works on my skin, it's primarily for use on oily to combination spot prone skin which is what I am. It helps to even out the oil which in turn helps cut down in break outs! I'll keep you posted! Next is the absolutely gorgeous Motivation eyeliner! Vicki showed me this a while ago when I was in picking up some samples and I fell in love with it but at around £18 I just couldn't justify it at the time. When I was in yesterday though, it had a 50% off sticker on it so I decided to go for it! The colour just makes me think of mermaids!!!! Way too excited to use it!!

Tester of Angels on Bare Skin Face Wash, Motivation Eyeliner

From Lush we went to Topshop, I had been shown one of their lipsticks by a friend last week and I fell in love with the colour (Beguiled) so went in to see if they had it.

Screen Siren, Beguiled

I left with Screen Siren which is a gorgeous bright red and I managed to snag the very last Beguiled in the shop after a sales assistant went and rummaged around in the store! Can't wait to wear one of these at the weekend for my birthday (look out for a FOTD and OOTD)

Next was Boots and Superdrug.

Trick or Treatment Under Eye Concealer, Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser, Too Faced Shadow Insurance

My local Boots and Superdrug aren't that big so I always look forward to going up to Glasgow so I can go to the big ones and have a look at the different brands and products they have to offer. The Soap&Glory concealer is something i've read and heard about but never something i've looked at myself so I thought i'd pick it up and give it a go, expect to see a review very soon! Maybelline announced their pore eraser towards the end of last year and in the blogger part of the internet there has been a flurry of excitement with people comparing it to Benefits Porefessional so i thought i'd see what all the fuss was about! And Too Faced is a brand that up until very recently wasn't available in the UK let alone in Boots so after hearing so many lovely Americans rant and rave about their Shadow Insurance I HAD to give it a go!

MUA Pro-Base Conceal and Brighten Kit in Porcelain
(I'm so sorry about this photo! Not happy with it at all but none of the others I took to replace it worked either!)

A friend told me about this product from MUA a few months back and it has done wonders for her dark circles and discolouration so I wanted to see if it would work as well on me!

Sleek Blush By 3 in LACE, Sleep Vintage Romance Palette

Sleek is one of the brands my local Superdrug doesn't carry so up until yesterday I didn't own any Sleek products at all. I'm very excited to try both of these!  For me when I think of Sleek I think of all the good things i've heard about their blushes so instead of buying just one I decided I would give this palette a go, a friend has it and I especially loved the colour Guipure, it reminds me a little bit of NARS Orgasm! A peach pink with gold flecks through it. The colours in the Vintage Romance palette are gorgeous (unfortunately the picture doesn't quite do it justice) and I can't wait to start creating looks using them!

So thats it! I've now put myself on a spending ban! I'm not allowed to buy anything else for myself! I have an ASOS order on it's way but that will be the last haul you see this month!

I mean it!!!

I'm serious!!!

Have a good week!

New Beginnings, New Horizons...

(How beautiful is where I live?! I took this the other day while out with Jen (check out her blog!) and Lydia walking Lydia's dog, it was taken from Prestwick beach)

I've been pretty quiet recently and I probably will be for a few more days.  I've decided that i'm going to be giving this blog a total over haul. New name, theme, layout etc. I want to save my proper posts for the fresh new blog! I won't be moving anywhere so you don't have to worry about trying to find me i'll be staying right here just making a few changes!! For now i've changed to a very simple template to keep it clean before i re-launch.

Over last year I realised that what I loved most was writing this blog and planning for blogposts. I would love to do this for the rest of my life and to do that I need to throw myself into this whole heartedly. So over this year I have few plans to help me do this, these include a structured posting schedule, collaborations with other bloggers and starting lifestyle posts along with loads of other things I'm going to keep secret! :P With all of that I began to think about what I want my blog to be and how I want it to look, right now it is pretty far from how i'm imagining! Hopefully though, in a few days it will be looking just how I want it!

I wouldn't be able to be doing this without the help of my wonderful friend Jen who is quite the wiz when it comes to all the coding side of stuff (i'm pretty useless)! You should all go over to her blog, say hi, follow, all that good stuff!! Click here!!

Hope your all having a good 2014 so far and i'll see you when I launch my new blog!

Ootd

One of my resolutions for my blog this year is to do OOTD's and FOTD's!

Here's my first one!

Today I had a mini road trip with my friend Catherine to a beach that's a few miles away from where we live. I went for quite a casual look and went a little fancier with my make up!

Top: New Look
Jeans: Forever 21
Cardigan: Vero Moda

For my face:

In the Vice 2 Palette I used:
All over eyelid up to brow bone: Dope
Inner corner out: Betrayal
In the crease and dragged down to outer corner: Madness
Outer corner and pushed up to crease: Prank
Lash like of lower lid: Voodoo

I'm really happy with the final result! Considering it was totally made up as I went along!!

Thought I'd add a photo of the stunning sunset at the beach here too!

Hope your all having a great Thursday!
