Reliving Teenage Dreams, Sunshine and Game of Thrones

So here's the second part of my previous post!! (I told you it was a lot!!)

Saturday 22nd March

I fell in love with a little band called Fallout Boy when I was first introduced to them in 2006, I was 12 and the boys had released From Under the Cork Tree the year before and it was the first time i'd really listened to anything that wasn't Busted or Mcfly! I quickly became obsessed and since then they've been a constant go to band whenever I felt I needed to be a little bit nostalgic (quite often to be honest!) they will forever be a special band for me having got me through some tough years (cliche as hell I know but so, so true!) along with some other very special bands!
Anyway! Despite my intense love I was never able to see them live and on Saturday 22nd of March my dream of seeing them perform came true. It took me 8 years but it was so worth it!

Wearing:
Dress - Doc Martens
Socks - Primark
Jacket - New Look
Shoes - Doc Martens
Bag - Oasis

Before the gig myself, my friend Becca (Check out her YouTube channel here) and her boyfriend went and got pizza at Bier Halle which is possibly my favourite place for pizza in Glasgow city centre! I got the BBQ Meatball Pizza and it was ridiculously delicious!

(Just looking at this picture makes my mouth water…hmm…I can almost taste it…Aaaah!)

After this and saying goodbye to Declan, Becca and myself jumped back on the low level out to The Hydro to join the hoards of adoring FOB fans. We had a slight difficulty with how young everyone looked and that the chances were they had only heard of them since Save Rock and Roll was released…. But we got forgot all about that when we stepped into the ginormous hall that is The Hydro! We couldn't quite believe just how big the place was!!!
The first band was a band from Denmark called New Politics, I wouldn't necessarily go out and buy their album but boy can the lead singer dance!!! Half way through one of their songs he chucked down the mic and started break dancing! At this point Becca and myself were a little disappointed in the lack of enthusiasm from the crowd and it continued when the next support hit the stage. We were really surprised with this since it was The Pretty Reckless! Taylor Momsen is a bit of a style inspiration for me, I just love her effortless rock chick style! Unfortunately the crowd around us didn't really seem to share our enthusiasm, nobody even stood up!
Although as soon as the lights went down again for FOB coming onto the stage (in full Young Blood outfits, balaclavas included!) the crowd went wild!! Everyone jumped up and went mental as the band opened with The Pheonix!
The whole night was amazing and I hope I am able to see them again, standing this time though!!

(Look how massive the place was!! And this wasn't even the whole hall!!)

Sunday 23rd March

For the first Sunday in a very very long time my friend Jen was off work so myself, Lydia and Jen decided to go a walk in the sunshine with Lydia's beautiful poodle Monte.
The weather was stunning and so was the walk! Below are a mixture of pictures taken with my iPhone and my Nikon D3000

(Woody and Monte)

Monday 24th March

After two days of doing nothing except going to the gym in the morning I decided to pamper myself a little while re-capping Game of Thrones seasons 1 - 3! I loooove Game of Thrones, it's such an addictive show and definitely my favourite show around at the moment. Team Targaryen!!! (I'm slightly in love with Daenerys)

I decided to start with a bath with my Lush Honey Bee bath bomb and episode 1 of season 1 go GoT. Season 4 starts in 8 days (Counting? No i'm not counting at all!!)

Aaaah, I'm obsessed…..Send help?!

Cocktails, Shopping, Friends & Food

I've left this post so late i've ended up having to split it into two! I've got two weeks worth of pictures stored up! This first post will be from the 15th of March until the 18th (I kind of forgot to take photos the rest of the week)

Saturday 15th March

I went up to Glasgow to stay with my closest friend Catherine for the night, I arrived and we went straight into the city centre to get cocktails and do some shopping. I didn't get an OOTD kind of because in all honest my outfit was nothing special, it was just something comfy to wear to walk around Glasgow in the cold!

We started off in TGI Fridays for cocktails then went on to a few shops including Debenhams (I may have finally bought the Naked 3 palette), Primark and Forever 21 (Full haul coming soon!!)

Sunday 16th March

After coming home and unpacking all my lovely new things from the day before, it was time to get ready for a night out in celebration of St Patricks day (I like to mark it in some way, my Dad and his family are Irish so I feel obligated too….or maybe it's just an excuse to have a drink? To be honest I think thats what most Irish see it as anyway!!)

Face:
Baby Skin Pore Eraser
Revlon Colorstay Foundation
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
(Ugh even it wasn't good enough to completely erase that days bags!!)
Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil
Strange from Naked3 Palette all over lid and up to brow, Nooner from out corner of lid to middle and in crease, Darkside and Blackheart on outer corner and blended up.
Seventeen Wet Look Lacquer Eyeliner
MAC Extreme Dimension 3D Mascara
Bourjois Delice De Soleil Bronzer
Rimmel London Kate Moss Lasting Lipstick in 107

Wearing:
Top - Forever 21
Jeans - Kirsten from Topshop
Shoes - New Look
(I then changed the heels to flat ankle boots with studs on the heel from ASOS)
Necklace - Primark

(Myself, Jen and Lydia! 'Twas a good night despite them having been out the night before and Jen and I being full of the cold!)

Tuesday 17th March

My Dad and I every so often like to have a Father, Daughter lunch together and since I was off college and Dad had Lunch free from work we decided we would go to a gorgeous Italian Restaurant called Cecchini's just round the corner from our house and his office! The sun was out and it was warm so I decided to wear my first almost spring outfit of the year.

Wearing:
Top - Plain black cami from a local independent shop called Electric Daisy
Skirt - Primark
Cardigan - New Look
Shoes - Converse
(Yes I realise i'm not wearing them here but I did put them on before I left the house!!)

As usual Cecchini's delivered with their gorgeous food!

For starter I chose the Mozzarella. It was delicious! The cheese just melted in your mouth and paired with the cranberry sauce and the salad and dressing it all complimented each other so well! I loved it.

I then chose the classic cheese burger! It again was delicious. The meat was cooked to perfection with the roll lightly toasted giving it that all important crunch! The chips were perfect, not too greasy and nice and crunchy! (Anyone else's mouth watering?)

Later that night I decided to do a tiny bit of pampering and painted my nails then went for a bath!

Nails:
Essie's Shearling Darling from their Winter Collection mini set
I've fallen in love with dark nails (I'm going crazy for dark colours in clothes too at completely the wrong time of year!!)

Bath Bomb:
Lush's Ickle Baby Bot
How cute is this little guy? He smells faintly of lavender (nothing too strong since he is actually meant for children) which means that even me who has an almost deep hatred for the smell of lavender can use this. It's so faint that I didn't even realise it was lavender until I read the ingredients! This little bot is designed to help sooth babies (older than 6 months) and children just before bedtime! It is great for sensitive skin and with it's cute design what child isn't going to love this sweet little bath bomb?!
My only misgiving about it is that it doesn't generate a lot of bubbles which, for children, a bath really isn't a bath without! So I would recommend looking into Lush's Fun in Blue which is made out of the same ingredients and will give you loads of bubbles, and as the name suggests, FUN!!!
Check it out HERE

Hope you've enjoyed my little life update my next one will be up either later today or tomorrow!

A massive Happy Mothers Day to all you beautiful Mummy's out there! I hope you all get breakfast in bed, flowers, pampered and the day off (Which, if you have little ones is probably very unlikely!).
And to anyone who isn't a Mum I hope your doing something special for yours! Let me know what you are doing!! What I get up to will be in my next life up date so look out for it.

Happy Sunday!

Super Facialist Tea Flower Cleansing Wash Review

I picked this little beauty up just over a week ago while in Boots checking out their most recent 3 for 2 deal. I was actually poking for a 3rd item and I knew I needed a cleansing wash, but it can be quite over whelming trying to choose one that is good but also one that is right for you. A friend recommended this to me so I decided to go for it since I've tried some of the other Super Facialist by Una Brennan products and loved them.

With this I basically fell in love with it the first time I used it! It's a clear gel wash that smells gorgeous. You don't need much (which I found out pretty quick!)

I like to wet my face a bit then massage the gel in slowly all over my face and down my neck, I do this slowly and in circular motions. At this point, as I massage it in, I can already feel my skin becoming smoother!! I then use my hands to splash water onto my face and then use a wet cloth to remove all of the gel. I then pat my face dry.

After I've dried my face I love to just run my fingers across my skin because after using this wash my skin always feel ridiculously soft and smooth! The first time I used this I couldn't believe how clean my face felt from just using a gel!

Like many people I thought from a young age that to get my skin clean I had to scrub at it, which with my skin type probably didn't help my acne (and I have a sneaky suspicion it might have something to do with why my skin is still so difficult!).

Because of this i've never really given gel washes another look! But this has just amazed me! The other thing is that It has really helped my acne, not completely cleared it but i've noticed less spots and redness! I hope eventually it might help towards getting my skin to the place I want it….completely clear! (Fingers and toes crossed!)

This product is definitely worth a try! Its £5.33 in Boots so its affordable. I definitely recommend it for people with combination to oily and acne prone skin.
Let me know your thoughts on this product and if you try it out for your self!!

Look out for a picture update of my week on Sunday or Monday!
Hope you have a good weekend!! Have you got any exciting plans?!
I'm going to see Fallout Boy on Saturday!!! Aaaah, I'm so excited to relive my teenage years!!

See you soon,

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water Review

I'm a little bit behind on this but I still wanted to write a wee review on it anyway!

Like many beauty bloggers and make-up lovers across the globe i've lusted after Bioderma for ages, so when this came on the market I was pretty interested. I've never tried any cleansing water but due to everything i'd heard and read I decided to go out and pick this one up since it was only £4.99.

As I said i've never tried cleansing waters let alone Bioderma, Which means I don't have anything to compare it too, apart from all the amazing things i'd heard about Bioderma!!!

Unfortunately this doesn't quite live up to the amazing things i've heard, I use it every night but it never seems to fully remove my foundation and it claims to remove things like eyeliner "without the need to rub or rinse".
Despite this claim it's never yet completely removed my eyeliner even with rubbing it and I always feel the need to re-cleanse after wards (I would do this anyway but after using this I definitely still need it!).
When I do go on to re-cleanse afterwards (using Superfacialist by Una Brennan Tea Flower Purifying Cleansing Wash) there is always still foundation left on my skin, despite how much of the cleansing water i've used!

Even with all that bad stuff! I have to point something out, the foundation I use most regularly is the Revlon Colorstay which has a bit of a reputation of being hard to remove, although, even when I had a BB Cream on it didn't shift it that easy….
Good things about this? It does leave my skin feeling lovely, even if it doesn't fully remove the foundation. My skin is smooth and soft and doesn't feel dried out or anything. It's also a great size for a fantastic price!!!!
Something else i've noticed with my skin is that the colouring has evened out and breakouts have been reduced. So despite the bad stuff, I really don't mind using a second cleanser along side because of the good it's done for my skin!!!

Anyway, when i'm in France in the Summer i'll be bringing back crates of Bioderma so I won't have to re-purchase this!!!

Remember this is only my view, different people and skin types will probably have had different results! For £4.99 I would definitely recommend picking this up and trying it anyway! If you do, let me know how it works (or doesn't) for you!

Have a good weekend!!!! (Who's going out for St. Paddy's Day?!)

Outfits, Hangovers, Cats & Cake

Life's been a bit hectic lately with a lot going on with course work and other stuff. The past week and a bit has been the same but i realised that i've been completely neglecting my little space on the inter web! So I decided that no matter how busy I was I would make an effort to photograph anything I thought would interest you guys! So thats what i've done! I don't know if it will be interesting at all to you (let me know what you think!) but I enjoy reading posts like this and if I do there will be other that do too!!!

(Warning: This is going to be another loooong post, but there pictures to look at so yaay!)

Tuesday 25th February

I didn't do much apart from go to college but I didn't start until half 12 so I had a bit of extra time to get ready!

Wearing:
Top - Not sure, theres no label!
Jeans - Kristan from Topshop
Scarf - Accesorize
 Bag - Oasis

Face:
Light Pink colour supplement from Lush
Phwoarr Paint concealer from Seventeen
Motivation eyeliner from Lush
Extreme Dimension 3D mascara from MAC
Rimmel eyebrow pencil
Chantilly blush from Sleek
Intense Care Baby Lips

The sunset was gorgeous that night! I love that the nights are getting longer!! Spring is nearly here.

Arrggh, Blogger decided that the exposure on the houses had to be changed so it's gone all pixelated! Oh well the sunset still looks gorgeous!

I also enjoyed my first bath in ages!!

I received both of these as a set for my Christmas (yep! i'm still working my way through my christmas stuff!!)
Rose Queen bath bomb - Smells like freshly cut flowers and leaves your bath water pink and your skin smelling gorgeous! Only complaint I have is I wasn't particularly keen on all the flower bits floating around in the bath!

Amandopondo - Again smells like fresh flowers! These two paired together worked like magic! Amandopondo leaves your bath full of bubbles and your skin will feel lovely and soft afterwards! Again though, I didn't like the feeling of the flower bits in the bath!

I enjoyed the smell of both but I kept getting the shivers feeling the bits floating around, I probably won't be purchasing them for myself.

Wednesday 26th February

Again I didn't do much during the day, just college but later on my cousin and a friend were having an over night stop with us on their way back down to Nottingham after spending a few days photographing Scotland.

I popped into Boots on my lunch break and picked up a few things i've had my eye on!

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water is basically a UK version of Bioderma more in depth review coming soon!

Simple Oil balancing moisturiser is a re-purchase, I love it! I use it day and night after cleansing and before make-up and it helps to keep excess oil from appearing on my face throughout the day!

Super Facialist by Una Brennan Tea Flower Purifying Cleansing wash, I adore this range! Look out for a review very soon on here!

My cousin Jono, his friend Tim and I went out for drinks after they had arrived.  Tim took this polaroid of Jono and I.

I may resemble Voldemort slightly here but I do love the photo!
Jono is a phenomenal photographer you should definitely check out his website!

Thursday 27th February

A couple of friends and I decided we needed a good night out so we got dressed up and hit the town for a night of drinks and dancing at a local club called Fury's!! Not the classiest establishment but it's kind of the best Ayr's got so we coped, a few drinks and we didn't care! The music was a huge range with everything from The Vengaboys to Robin Thicke, Beyonce and then Banks of Loch Lomond thrown in for good measure!

Lydia is just starting out photography and is already fantastic! Check her out here

Our Polaroids from the night!!

We had an awesome night but felt a little bit worse for ware at college the next morning!

Friday 28th February

I don't have a picture of my outfit or face for this day, I either forgot or didn't think it was all that special apparently!! But I did go to my friend Gil's house at night. We watched the film 21 (great film), ate cake all while I made her cat Shea hate me by forcing her to cuddle me!!!

Gil is a genius when it comes to baking and when we set the date for our night in she asked me what cake would I like her to make, I immediately said Red Velvet because it is my ultimate cake have!! She definitely didn't disappoint by creating this 5 layers of deliciousness!

Oooh! I can almost taste it now! Look at that colour!

Here's a little bonus pic of her cat Bodhi, look at those big round eyes!!!

Saturday 1st March

Reeeeally didn't do much! I'm only writing about it because I want to talk about the dinner I had haha!! I spent the day clearing out my room and then we went to Frankie & Bennies for dinner!
I had this...

It's a meatball bolognese calzone and it was heavenly! Can't wait to go back so I can have some more!

Tuesday 4th March

Pancake Daaaaaayy!! (possibly one of my favourite days of the year! I loooove me some pancakes) Again I spent the day at college (my life's so exciting isn't it!!) nothing much happened except that Jen and I went shopping afterwards and were amazed at how much lovely clothes are in Primark now that they've brought in their Spring/Summer stuff!!
Anyway here's my FOTD

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concelaer
Rimmel brow pencil
Seventeen Wet Look Lacquer eyeliner

After dinner my Dad and Sister made a huge stack of pancakes which disappeared in minutes!!! I covered mine in Nutella and bananas and Sugar an lemon juice, it was delicious. Unfortunately I didn't get a good picture of my pancakes but I got a picture of the stack, it doesn't look a lot because of the angle but trust me it was huge!!

I also apologise for it not being the best photo but please understand my need to eat these right away!!!!

Wednesday 5th March

Another day at college!! But it was alright, I had bought a new dress the day before in Primark so I decided to wear that!

Dress - Primark
Cardigan - Jack&Jones

Thursday 6th March

Again I had another day of doing nothing! Except getting to babysit at night, I haven't seen my boys in weeks so it was so good to see them again! Even if 2 of them were already sleeping!! I've missed them!
I just wanted to put this here because I discovered my new favourite healthy snack. I've recently started a new health and fitness plan (watch this space for a blog post all about it soon!) so i've been eating healthier, getting loads of protein in along with all the other good nutrients! I saw a picture of this snack on Instagram and decided to try it

Strawberries and peanut butter, So so sooo good!

Well if you got to the end of this you deserve a medal! I really hope it wasn't too long, I could of spread this over 2 posts but, well, i didn't want to haha!

It's Fridaaaaay!! Woop woop! I'm getting ready to spend my weekend with 25 Brownie guides, I think it'll be quite a good weekend though, quite looking forward to it!

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
