Help! It's summer and I hate colour!!!!!

Ok so the titles a bit dramatic….I do like a bit of colour here and there just not loads of it!! This post is just a small one to let you know of a series i've been working on over the past few weeks!!

I am a bit of a colourphobe….I like to stick with what I know really and that tends to be Grey's, Black and White. Even when it comes to patterns it's usually in those colours. This is great in the winter because there is an abundance of plain clothes in these colours but come summer time it is a bit more difficult. In the past i've kind of forced myself to wear colour and looking back on old photo's I hate myself for it, I don't look comfortable in the outfits I chose and to me I look like i'm trying to be something I'm now!

So when I started to think about my summer wardrobe for this year I decided that I would completely be myself and source gorgeous clothes that are summery but stick to a palette that I love. I also realised that I probably won't be the only girl out there that suffers from being a bit of a colourphobe and I thought I would share some of my findings and tips with you all!

I've been using pinterest A LOT to help me sort of map out a kind of mood board of the style I want to go for and have actually been quite surprised with myself due to some floral patterns and colour sneaking into it! This isn't a bad thing mind you, I do think that allowing yourself to just go with what you actually like and not forcing yourself to stick with black, grey and white is quite a good idea! Personally I don't really want to be walking around France (my holiday destination this year!) looking like a goth, so having some floral and colour in there is really going to break up all of that plain blacks and greys!

I've decided to split this over a few posts because it'll probably get quite extensive if I don't. These posts will include a wish list, a tips and tricks post, a How to post and maybe (MAYBE) a few videos!! The posts will be up over the next week with some videos hopefully up the following week (again!! MAYBE!!!!)

Have a great weekend!!

I nabbed this dress about a year ago on eBay!!

Sunday wasn't a busy day but my Dad and I went out to lunch with a friend to Lychees (our favourite chinese! We absolutely love their chicken satay!)

Top - Forever 21 (It has a leather panelling across the shoulders at the back)
Trousers - Vv's Boutique

I popped into town to have coffee with my friend Kathryn, we went to Costa (where we had a VERY creepy encounter with a man who came up, introduced himself and tried to make conversation with me! Asking about my plans for the day, asking what we were doing at that moment and just generally being creepy. I can't explain it very well, I suppose you probably have to have been there haha!!) and popped into some shops.

T-shirt - Matalan
Leggings - Asda
Jacket - New Look
Shoes - Doc Martens

As I said, just a quick post but i've loved these outfits and wanted to share them (sorry that the picture quality isn't great!!)

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo Review

So i've gone and done it again, not blogged for weeks! I know it disgusts me too and again I don't really have an excuse i'm afraid.

But i'm back now and i'm going to do a review of the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo for you since it has become my favourite product in my whole skin care routine! I have completely fallen in love with it!

I had heard so much about this but for some reason hadn't actually looked into what it was until I realised I could buy it from my local Boots store!
I wanted to use it for a while before I wrote a review so I could get my thoughts on it right.

I love this product because it has completely cleared up my skin. I get really sore under the skin spots and since using this twice daily they have completely stopped. I only get them now after lazy days where I haven't bothered with proper skin care (come on now, we all have them, lets not kid ourselves!!).
This also smooths your skin giving the perfect base to apply foundation over.
It does what it says on the tin basically and I can't find any faults with it!
I suppose if I was really searching for something it would be the price, at £15.50 (fom Boots) it could definitely be classed as a high-end product. I'm not sure if the £15.50 is worth it but since you can get it cheaper online from places like eBay (£13) I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who has considered buying it! It really does work. And I can't wait to buy more of it when I visit France this Summer (I'm hoping this one lasts until then! Fingers crossed!!)

I'll see you all again soon with more reviews and some OOTD's!

Hope your all having a good week!
